Let's face it. Unless you want to flee under the spur of the moment, planning a wedding is never easy. There are things just too many to consider - the costumes, location, favors, invitations and menus, just to name a few - that the new plan on the last marriage in marriages that facilitate the planning are very much appreciated.

Remember the good old days when the parents of the bride had to pay for the costs of marriage? He used to put a strain on personal relationships and money matters on both sides of the couple soon to be spouses. After all, the general rule is that he who pays the most to say!
The good news about marriage is expected that, nowadays, everyone can pitch in spending. This will certainly affect your wedding planning with regard to the size of the case is to be invited, where it will occur and other issues.

MasterPiece Weddings
Wait, read on anyway!
One of my dreams finally came true. I'm going to marry my prince. I've waited all this time and wanted this crazy, big, fairy tale, wedding. I've been a bridesmaid 12 times and I know how weddings could be to family and friends. I wanted a wedding weekend without all the stress of making sure everything was done. A friend suggested that I hire a "wedding planner". Being an OCD, control freak, I didn't know how this will work for my personality.
I went to a wedding show in Gainesville and spoke with multiple planners. They all seemed nice but I still had misgivings. I heard about MasterPiece Weddings from various wedding vendors in Gainesville. I looked up MasterPiece Weddings website and was immediately interested in speaking with them in depth.
From the beginning, Melissa and I clicked. She personalized a package to suit me and my personality. She was a blessing and heaven sent. I could tell this was going to be one great relationship. She allowed me to be myself but was also able to reel me in, when it became too much. In her quiet, calm, confident and kind way, she was my calm within the storm.
I thought that I couldn't afford a planner, however knowing what I know now, I couldn't afford not to. I'm sure there were many behind the scenes scenarios that Melissa and her gang quietly handled, so that I can have the wedding of my dreams.
Although hiring a planner is an expense that most brides would rather put in their budget as an option (or in my dreams option) , I realized that it should be a must. I actually saved on many expenses because of her advice. I can go on and on about all the things MasterPiece Weddings has done for me, my husband and family.
I cannot thank them enough. I am proud and confident to endorse MasterPiece Weddings to my family and friends. Thank you Melissa for everything and especially the friendship...

MasterPiece Weddings For Your Planning Needs
And that is how it was with Erika and Jeff, I just knew it was destiny. Well, a series of events occured and we couldn't work together. After the wedding, I got word that one of her biggest regrets was that she didn't hire us. That made me sad.
We are friends on Facebook and talk all of the time... and frankly I still love her!
Here's Erika's Story. (In her own words)
We got engaged in June of 2006 & set a date for May 5th 2007. We thought that would be ample time to plan, schedule, re-think, re-plan, & re-schedule, at least a couple of times. The first priority, besides the cake, was the photographer. We were incredibly lucky to get the photographer that I dearly wanted. She immediately recommended that we speak to Melissa MasterPiece Weddings for our planning needs, so we made an appointment.
After sitting down with Melissa, it became clear to us that there were a number of things that we need to account for, but at the same time, estimates were starting to come for the catering, the cake, we already had a photography contract to sign, the venue, the church, the dress, the tuxes, shoes, honeymoon, etc. Trust me, it adds up IN A HURRY! We had a limited budget & my husband, who has some OCD tendancies & works with chaos every day as an auditor, assured me that he would be able to coordinate, plan & schedule this gala event without any problems at all. "I've got it under control", he said. So, in the sole interest of saving money, we decided to not hire Melissa.....not our smartest decision.
In the months that followed, chaos turned into outright anarchy. There was the small issue of moving the wedding from Gainesville to St. Augustine for starters. Flowers, DJ's, and bridesmaids, Oh my....
If, for one instant, you think that on the day of your wedding, you will have the time or inclination (there are mimosa's to drink) to meet with all the vendors as they arrive or that they will telepathically know where you want everything set up, you are kidding yourself, trust me, I learned the hard way. We were very fortunate to have am incredible photographer and florist that stepped up to the plate and took control, right when we about to lose it! There is no amount of self planning that can take the place of a talented, experienced, & caring wedding planner like Melissa. When we renew our vows at our 50th, there is no question that Melissa will be running the show.....put it in your blackberry right now Melissa, May 5, 2057....it's the easiest and sanest decision you'll make leading up to your big day.

Day Of Coordinator
Let me clarify, we are a wedding planning company in Gainesville, Florida. That is what we do…that’s all we do. Full Planning. Day Of. We’ll plan anything, anywhere. Anything on the Planet we can Plan It! But I digress.
Why do you need a Day of Coordinator, Month of Coordinator- whatever you call it… someone to help you on the day of or month of your wedding. You have your wedding planned, your contracted with all of your wedding vendors. Now what? You don't want your mom or Bestie to be running around making sure your details are handled....
• Who is going to organize your wedding day, create your schedule for the day of your wedding, go over your contracts, make sure you and your fiancĂ© – your mom can be guests at your party!
• Who is going to open the door for you right before you walk down the aisle… hint – NOT your mom, she’s already seated.
• Who is going to take care of THAT drunk guest at your wedding, that just so happens to be a prominent judge and is making a fool of himself and pulling down his pants on the dance floor – hint, NOT your mom!
• Who is going to inform your caterer that they didn’t include the green beans on the buffet, or make sure your 2 Vegan guests can't be served a vegetarian meal… hint- NOT your mom!
I know you said that your fiancĂ© can be the “point” man for your wedding day, but really, when it comes time to cut the cake, and you want 20 more minutes to mingle with your friends before, is he going to stop mingling to inform the caterer, the photographer, the videographer, the DJ or Band that you need more time, because by the time he does that, you’ll need another 40 minutes. Because he just wasted 20 informing everyone.
That’s our job, we do all of that and SO MUCH more, really… it’s worth the money…. I promise!
Does that make more sense as to what a wedding planner will be doing on the day of your wedding?

Planning a Wedding on a Budget

Here is a list of things that would help you save a sufficient amount of money when you are planning a wedding on a budget:
1. Celebrate your wedding day in your own backyard, and simply decorate its perimeter nicely with flowers, lights, and so on.
2. Invite only your closest family and friends, and take off your guest list anyone you don't know or do not wish to see at your wedding.
3. Make your invitations on a computer and then just print them out, instead of buying expensive paper invitations.
4. Have a simple menu for your party, which consists of "proven" cheap and tasty meals rather than something exotic.
5. Find a cheap wedding dress through the classifieds, at a consignment store or on sale at a department store.
6. Get the flowers for your wedding from your local wholesaler, and not from a specialized florist.
7. Design your own bridal bouquet, which will naturally be cheaper than ordering a bouquet from a floral designer.
8. Instead of centerpieces with flowers you can use some really nice cheap candles, which can be arranged into gorgeous centerpieces.
9. Choose cheaper alcohol drinks, or choose to totally have no alcohol at your wedding - just soda and punch.
10. Ask your family and friends for help, such as donating tables and chairs for your wedding day, instead of renting the chairs and tables. Furthermore, you can ask each of your close relatives and friends to prepare one food item each for your wedding.
To date, many couples choose to plan their wedding on a small budget. It's no wonder, because any couple has many other important things to allocate their expenses for, including a home mortgage, car payments, credit cards, and any other loans. The above list provides enough tips to sufficiently reduce the costs of your wedding.
Planning a wedding on a budget is not as hard as it may seem. Simply try to keep your wedding simple, personalized and casual. The most important thing is that this day is about the two of you, and no-one else.

Wedding Location
Newport Beach Wedding Location - Photographers Analysis of Balboa Inn
By Vanessa Honda and Stephen Honda
While the quality of a wedding photography collection is influenced most by the photographer, the location of the wedding also has an impact on the tone and quality of any wedding portraits. Balboa Inn, rightly shot, is a location that will contribute greatly to the goal of obtaining a memorable wedding album.
Balboa Inn is a Mediterranean style wedding site located in Newport Beach California. The ceremony location is a large raised balcony. This balcony is an excellent spot to get fun, memorable pictures. The photographer can stand below the subjects standing on the balcony. The balcony is large enough that a number of people can be lined up side by side. Photographers often position a large group - say the bridesmaids at a large wedding and have them jump in the air, raise their arms in the air and cheer, or throw flowers. The result is a beautiful action shot full of expression from a unique angle with the sky in the background.
There is a tiled Mediterranean-style courtyard below the balcony. It has adobe walls and potted plants and is an excellent location to catch people mingling. While the bride and groom are getting ready, this is an excellent location to get portraits taken of the guests. Guests usually appreciate pictures taken at this point. The surroundings provides a great backdrop, the guests are already dressed up and there hasn't been time for hair to be blown out of place.
The reception hall has large windows which provides soft natural light. As long as sun is still up, you should be able to shoot using the natural light only. The location where the dance is likely to be held does not have any windows. It has colored artificial lighting similar to that which is found in a club. Plan on shooting with slow shutter speeds during the dance/night time reception.
While the ceremony in this location will not be right on the beach and the beach will not be directly in the background, it is nearby. After the ceremony is a good time to take the bride and groom to the beach to get some casual sand shots.

Wedding Coordinator
Reasons Why You Need a Wedding Coordinator
Weddings are big events and can be very overwhelming for the couple. Again, you will need to get more hands to help with the organization, coordination, confirmation and décor. You therefore need a professional to help with your day. In most cases, you can hire a wedding consultant which people also call a wedding coordinator, organizer or expert.
By experience planners can suitably match venue with theme of wedding so that your guests can be comfortably seated, officiating become unhampered and the couple celebrate their event in great style. The planner will also help you with the choice of dress. Lastly, consultants help you save money. Wedding coordinators help the couple take control over their wedding.
Why Have a Wedding Coordinator?
One of the biggest decisions in planning your wedding is to determine if you are going to use a wedding coordinator. A wedding coordinator is the person that pretty much organizes your entire wedding. The day itself is the biggest reason that one should have a wedding coordinator. The coordinator in effect, makes it so that the Bride and Groom can relax on their day and simply have fun.
The large number of contacts that are handled by a wedding coordinator is really quite stunning, particularly for a larger wedding.
Another key function of the coordinator is to advise the Bride and Groom about themes and decorations. When you secure a wedding coordinator, it is important that you ask a number of important questions. The coordinator is the maestro of the wedding, and orchestrates every detail so that the event is about exactly what it should be... the Bride and Groom

Western Wedding Traditions and Where They Come From
Ironically many of the rituals being performed by devout Christians in a Christian church and ceremony are essentially based on Pagan beliefs.
Thankfully sometimes it is an elegant ritual and equally thankfully some of the rituals are just plain fun. It is likely that any ritual not fitting either the elegant beauty category or the fun category would have been phased out long ago and is thus no longer being practiced today. There are likely countless marriage rituals in various cultures which have long since been forgotten due to their disuse. Let's look at some of the more popular traditional western rituals that are still being practiced today and perhaps see just why they have stayed around so long.
The throwing of rice is an interesting ritual of the kind that is very popular in animist or Pagan cultures as it is essentially a ritual of fertility. Rice is a seed and it doesn't take a far stretch of the imagination to see just what showering handfuls of white seed on a newlywed couple is symbolic of. Besides, it's possibly the most fun of all wedding rituals.
The wedding bouquet itself is one ritual that has transformed over the years into something far different than it was originally intended to be performed. It had been a bouquet of intense herbs which were thought to have the effect of protecting from undesired "energies" which were considered inappropriate for the wedding ceremony. Imagine walking down the aisle with a bouquet of garlic today. Thankfully that is one ritual that has changed for the better.
Finally one tradition which may seem Pagan in its concept of luck is the tradition of the groom not being allowed to see the bride prior to the ceremony.

Wedding Venue
Simple Tips For Decorating Your Wedding Venue
By Amanda Jane
Your wedding venue is the most important location in your planning. It is the main location at which the ceremony is held. That is where the rings are exchanged and the vows made. For these reasons, you will want your wedding venue to look the best so that you get personal satisfaction and your guests are able to look on the event as one that was well held. The simplest way to go about the wedding venue décor is to hire a florist. If for reason of budget or personal fun you are unable to do so, here are few tips that you can apply to get a magnificent decor for your venue.
Never lose sight of your wedding theme at your venue decoration. You must let your guests have the impression that you are actually holding a formal or casual event by the kind of décor you put up. Avoid mixing themes and stick to one. It is also considered ideal to decorate according to the season. Green and red will fit winter themes as well as white and ivory. Bright colors such as red and green will be appropriate for summer. Your decoration must start from the entrance. As soon as the guests reach the gate or door, they should be able to see your flamboyant display of colors and floral.
Getting your own wedding venue décor is fun. It makes you obtain that personal gratification that you were able to incorporate the things that you personally like. It also helps you to save money as you would them avoid the expensive floral and the fees of the florist. You will however have to ensure that the décor you put up conforms to your themes, the profile of the guests and the season. You will also want to ensure that you get your guests into the right mood with the right floral. Live plants will be great but consider the climate of the room. A room too hot will cause them to wilt. Artificial plants can look too cheap and may not fit certain types of formal weddings.

Wedding Consultant
Why a Wedding Consultant is So Important
Let's be perfectly honest. A wedding can be a huge undertaking. There are so many things to think about like transportation, catering, photographer, the reception, the florist, the wedding dress, and so much more.
I suppose your family and friends can help you out, but chances are, they have their own life to live, and probably don't have the kind of time needed to dedicate to your wedding. The only thing you have to do is make sure that you pick a planner who can achieve the wedding of your dreams.
You have to make sure that find a wedding planner early. For example, if you plan on getting married in the summertime, then you should start deciding on a wedding planner some time around the spring. If you do this, chances are you'll give you planner enough time to make sure everything goes splendidly. You'll need that time for her to give you all the choices and recommendations she has to offer. Even if you don't, the wedding planner can give you a wide variety of options from which to choose from, irregardless if you want a big or a small wedding. They will cater to your needs.
So, in summary, if your budget will allow you to, you should seriously consider getting a wedding consultant. You'll know that both you and your wedding guests will enjoy a night that nobody will forget. They have the experience and skill to accommodate the most precise wedding.

Wedding Albums, Choosing the Right Type For You
1. Flush mount albums:
You may have heard flush mount wedding albums referred to as 'storybook', 'magazine type', 'digital' or 'coffee table' albums. Albums can be designed by your wedding photographer or directly by the album manufacturer. Pages are laid out using design software and may use one or more images per page. Different types of flush mount albums:
While the design process for all types of flush mounts is the same, there are variations in the way that albums are printed and bound. High quality albums are printed on photographic paper and mounted on board before binding them into an album.
Other albums (often called 'books' rather than 'albums') may be printed using a digital press system. Both types can give excellent results, though I would always recommend photographic paper for a main album. 'Flush mount wedding albums' tend to be on photographic paper, 'Digital coffee table books' or 'digital albums' are more likely to be printed using digital press. Advantages of flush mounts:
Limitless design options. Possible cost savings, compared to matted albums, especially on second albums and parent books.
2. Matted albums:
These are a more traditional type of album, photographs are mounted behind openings or apertures, bevel cut into boards (or mattes) and assembled into pages. The more expensive versions will be laid out page by page, then each matte will individually cut and bound into the album. Photos are mounted behind the mattes, framing each image in it's own aperture. As with a flush mount you can have one or more images on each page, though the design options are more limited. Prices can be quite a lot higher than flush mounts. Advantages of matted albums:
Choosing between a flush mount or matted album is a matter of personal choice, they can both look great.

Casual Beach Wedding Dress Ideas
Beach weddings are casual in their nature, so beach wedding dresses should be casual too. The challenge is to choose a great dress for your body shape, but taking into account that the wedding will be celebrated on the beach.
Which are the best places to find a great casual beach wedding dress? Bridal shops or magazines are the first natural choice. Shops have specific departments for casual dresses, and something similar happens with magazines, there will certainly be some pages or an entirely number dedicated to casual wedding dresses.
There is something interesting about beach wedding dresses, it does not need to be a wedding dress. If you have a traditional wedding on a church , the tradition says that you should wear a traditional dress, and probably you have never dreamed to wear something different. But on the beach you have the possibility to wear any dress that fits with the theme of the wedding. If you are on a tight budget, this can be great news as this type of dress is more affordable than the traditional ones.
There is another option, many couples decide to go completely barefoot, not wearing any shoes. Finally, it is not recommended the use of veil as part of your beach wedding dress. Choosing a great casual beach wedding dress can be very funny.

Tips For Planning a Destination Wedding in the CaribbeanAre you gearing up to plan your wedding? You may want a picture perfect fairytale wedding in the Caribbean. If so, you want a destination wedding. Yes, really free weddings! Many resorts provide guests with a free standard wedding, provided they meet a minimum stay requirement. What else should you look for in a Caribbean resort when planning a destination wedding? The ability to have your wedding onsite.
You also want the ability to upgrade your free wedding package. Right away, Caribbean resorts claim you get a "standard wedding." Have your destination wedding double as a Caribbean honeymoon too. As previously stated, many all-inclusive resorts in the Caribbean give you a free wedding with a minimum 3, 5, or 7-night stay. It will not take that long to plan your wedding, so meet the minimum required stay by combining your wedding and honeymoon.
Contact the resort in question. In most cases, you will be put into contact with a wedding planner, even when making use of a Caribbean resort's free wedding. This wedding planner makes it easier to plan a destination wedding when you are located hundreds or thousands of miles away.
Order destination wedding invitations for your guests. As previously stated, your destination wedding guests are unlikely to attend your wedding and leave. Your honeymoon and their Caribbean vacation may overlap. Luckily, most free weddings include a couple of guest passes for those staying offsite.

Wedding Camera Tips & Tricks for Your Reception
It has become popular to put a disposable camera, usually the type that includes a built-in flash unit, on each table at the reception with the idea that the guests at that table will use the 27 frames of film to take photos in and around their table, and the bride and groom will develop the film and have the photos that are created to enjoy and possibly augment their wedding album.
1. Flash & Film Speed: Make sure the cameras you purchase have at least 400 speed film and include a built in flash.
2. Casing: Although paper-casing cameras are usually cheaper, they are not waterproof.
3. Film: Black and white photos vs color. Color photos will capture all the beautiful details you worked so hard to have for your wedding (flowers, centerpieces, table linens, favors).
4. Recycled or Brand New? Recycled cameras are just that: recycled, previously used.
5. Exposures: If you're having a longer reception, splurge and purchase 27 exposure cameras, or two 15 exposure cameras. People enjoy taking pictures - and if they run out of film too soon they may be disappointed.
6. Quantity: Typically you would purchase one camera per table of guests. Some cameras come with a "Table Tent" which is a decorative card placed beside the camera on the table.
7. Expiration date: Cameras should be 1 to 2 years ahead of the current date. If you purchase them in advance make sure to store them away from heat, light and moisture.
8. Photo Taking: Have them go to each table and take a picture or two then pass it to another guest at the table.
9. Collecting: You don't want to forget the cameras before you leave! Assign this to one of the wedding attendants to collect the cameras before the night's end.
